How we work
Our editorial process starts long before a page goes live. Each review is split into discovery, hands-on testing, independent reading of operator documentation, and a sanity check against publicly available regulatory records. Only when all four pillars agree does the write-up go to copy editing. That gate is the point at which a draft can still be sent back; after it, the page moves to layout and gets scheduled for publication.
We never publish a draft on the day it is written. A 48-hour cooling-off window gives the second reader fresh eyes and makes sure the voice of the piece is calm rather than hyped. Promotional language — the 'biggest', 'exclusive', 'guaranteed' kind — is flagged automatically and manually struck out. Everything numeric gets a source line in our internal tracker, even if the number does not make it into the final paragraph. If something is in dispute, it does not go live.
Who writes
The winigreat.bet desk is a small team of writers who have spent most of their professional lives inside the online gambling industry. Backgrounds include payments, platform operations, affiliate publishing, and casino floor supervision. We do not farm pages out to anonymous content shops. Every long-form review has an author byline attached to it, with a short biography and a public email for corrections.
Guest contributions are rare and clearly labelled. When a specialist outside the regular staff writes a piece — for instance a lawyer on licensing or a cybersecurity analyst on data handling — their credentials are checked and listed above the article. We do not accept pay-for-placement contributor slots.
What this site is
winigreat.bet is an independent review and comparison site covering the online casino and sportsbook market in Canada. The site collects operator information, documents promotion terms in human language, and keeps a short list of recommended rooms that are updated as the market moves. We make money from affiliate links; readers never pay for anything they see here, and operators cannot buy placement in editorial.
What we are not: a casino, a payment agent, a licensing authority, or an operator of games. If you are looking for customer support for a specific bonus, deposit, or account verification issue, you need to contact the operator directly. Our Contact page explains what questions we can and cannot help with.
Audience
This site is written for adult readers in Canada who already know roughly what an online casino is and are shopping for a specific room, bonus, or payment method. We try not to repeat industry glossary content that is one search away, and we do not use the pages as a top-of-funnel introduction to the subject. If you are brand new to online gambling, the responsible gaming organisations we link to from the footer are a better first stop than any review page.
What we cover
Across the site you will find brand reviews, bonus and promotion walkthroughs, payment method guides, and short editorial pieces about regulation, product updates, and operator incidents when they occur. We do not cover unlicensed, grey-market, or crypto-only rooms unless there is a specific editorial reason to do so, which is always disclosed at the top of the page.
Our focus is on evergreen content: pages that still make sense a year after publication. News-style posts are kept to a minimum because they age poorly and tempt publishers into clickbait. When something time-sensitive is worth saying, we date it clearly and add a review marker so the reader knows how old the information is.
Site history
winigreat.bet began as a side project among three former casino-industry employees who wanted a review site that read more like a consumer guide than a billboard. The first version of the site went live in 2022 with four pages and a plain CSS theme. It has grown slowly on purpose; we would rather have fifty well-maintained reviews than five hundred that nobody updates.
Over time the project added payment-method pages, a dedicated bonus hub, and a short daily editorial routine that keeps bonus terms current. The business side has deliberately stayed boring: no venture funding, no acquisitions, no 'content partners'. Decisions about what to cover are made in a weekly editorial meeting, not in response to who is paying this quarter.
